WHAT IS VEHICLE WRAPPING?

Vehicle wrapping is a way of changing the look of your vehicle without the need for a complicated and irreversible repaint. It involves completely or partially covering your vehicle with a high quality cast vinyl film. This film can be used to overlay the vehicle with a different color or design.

HOW DOES A VEHICLE WRAP WORK?

When a vehicle is wrapped, a layer of high quality cast vinyl is applied to the car. There are five stages to car wrapping:

1. Taking accurate measurements
2. Creating a design
3. Printing and laminating the wrap
4. Cleaning the vehicle thoroughly
5. Applying the wrap

It can be a fiddly job that won’t look great if it’s not done correctly. Car wrapping should be done by a professionally trained installer.

DO I HAVE TO WRAP MY ENTIRE VEHICLE?

No, you do not have to wrap your entire vehicle. Instead, you can opt to just wrap certain panels, like the side of your vehicle. This is called a partial wrap.

DOES VEHICLE WRAPPING AFFECT THE RESALE VALUE OF MY CAR?

When done properly, vehicle wrapping shouldn’t damage the paint underneath, even when it is being removed, so it should not negatively affect the resale value of your car. In fact, the potential protection a wrap offers could keep the paintwork fresh and therefore increase its second-hand appeal. When removing a vehicle wrap, the vinyl wrap is slowly removed using a heat source like a heat gun. It’s best to have your wrap removed professionally.
