WHAT IS TEXTILE PRINTING?

Textile printing is the process of applying color to fabric in definite patterns or designs. During this process, colors are bonded with the fibers of the fabric. Because of this, it resists washing and friction. Textile printing has a high quality and durability, is long-lasting and is fully customizable.

There are three different types of textile printing methods, but at Nilsprint we only use the most modern textile printing method: dye sublimation. Dye sublimation is a method of printing that transfers a design into a fabric using ink and heat.

First, a design is printed onto special paper. The inks that are used turn into gas when brought under heat, then combine with the fabric and permanently print onto the material. With the applied pressure the ink cools and returns to a solid form. The effects are permanent, as the ink is embedded in the material.

Sublimation is almost like a tattoo, but instead of for your skin, it’s for your chosen product.
