Orders

I can’t find the product I’d like to order on your website.

Do you want to print a product that you cannot find on our website? Take a look at this page about Custom Made Products.

Is it possible to cancel my order?

At Nilsprint we guarantee top quality printing with short turnarounds. After you submit your artwork or approved a design we’ve made, the files are sent to our production team. This is where the printing process begins and you can no longer cancel your order.

If you want to cancel an order, we recommend that you call us as soon as possible so that we can check if this is still possible.

What can I do if the quality of print didn’t fulfil my expectations?

It is very important for us to make sure that each of our clients is satisfied with our work. We print the best quality products at low prices and with short turnarounds, however if our product doesn’t satisfy you, please contact us directly or by filling in the contact form.

File Preparation

What file formats can I submit?

You can upload your files in the following formats:
JPG, PNG, PDF, EPS, TIFF, PSD, AI and CDR, depending on your product.

In order to avoid issues with layers and transparencies in the printing process, it is advised to make sure that everything in your PDF, PSD, AI, EPS and CDR file is curved or flattened.

If you are submitting your files in TIFF format, please make sure you reduce to only one layer.

In order to prevent problems with variations in colors, please use the RGB color mode.

Do my files need to be print-ready?

Yes – all the accepted files must be print-ready. If you are looking for assistance with preparing your files, please check out our templates or let our design department take care of it for you.

Why do I need a bleed?

To make sure that there are no white areas on your printed product, all the submitted files must have bleed on each side. This means that your design (both images and graphics) should always be larger than the actual print format. Failing to do so may result in small deviations which lead to white margins.

Note: the bleed size may differ per product. Please refer to the relevant product page for an accurate bleed size.

Is my artwork going to be checked before printing?

Yes, at Nilsprint all the artworks are checked and verified to make sure they are fit for printing. If we encounter any problems with the files, we will contact you and recommend changes to the format. Note: despite the fact that we review your files, you are always ultimately responsible.

What’s the best color mode for my artwork?

It’s best to prepare your files in the RGB color mode, otherwise we automatically convert it from the CYMK mode which may result in color shifts. To ensure you are fully satisfied with the print, it’s recommended to send in RGB color mode files.

What resolution should my file be?

This depends entirely on the size of your artwork and product. For smaller prints we accept 300 dpi files or higher. For larger prints, such as banners and billboards, we recommend using a lower DPI. For more specific directions, check out our artwork instructions.

How do I prepare my Engraving files?

In order to create a laser engraving job, you must attach a engraving template file as well as the regular full color file. The engraving template should show all the places where the laser will be engraving with 100% black. White areas indicate parts of the design without the laser engraving.
